Meet Dr. Anthony El Youssef
Dr. Anthony El Youssef became interested in dentistry from a young age, after having great experiences with his dentist at the time. It motivated him to not only become a dentist, but to become one that people could be comfortable with and one that would have the same effect on young patients as he had experienced with his dentist.
Having two older brothers as physicians, Dr. El Youssef felt a strong connection to the medical field and sciences and felt that dentistry was the perfect fit for him and his personality.
Dr. El Youssef moved here to the Northwest to attend Oregon State University and completed his pre-dental requirements with a major in General Sciences and a minor in Chemistry.
He then completed his doctorate in dentistry at the Oregon Health Sciences University, gaining strong experience in every major aspect of dentistry including crown and bridge work, denture crafting, implant restorations, endodontics, and oral surgery.
Dr. El Youssef has since been actively involved in earning his continuing education credits and stays up to date with the constant advances of dentistry. He is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry.
Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. El Youssef enjoys traveling to the Caribbean and is very passionate about the region’s cuisine and music. He enjoys international travel, science fiction books and frequenting movie theaters for the latest flick. He is health conscious and tries to stay very active for his 6’ 5″ frame. He loves to both play and watch basketball and soccer.
Dr. El Youssef married his wife, Samar, in 2013, and they currently reside in Southeast Portland. In March 2017, they had their adorable twins: a boy and a girl.
